Faisal’s Point of View After the party, Raid and I returned to his estate, the opulent surroundings a stark contrast to the turbulence within me. The grand hallways and meticulously maintained gardens felt like a gilded cage, beautiful but suffocating. We didn't speak much on the way home, each lost in our thoughts. Raid's reassurances at the party had helped, but the lingering presence of Cassandra weighed heavily on my mind. The next morning, the sun filtered through the heavy drapes, casting a soft glow over the room. Raid was already awake, sitting by the window with a contemplative look on his face. "Morning," I said, my voice still heavy with sleep. He turned, offering a small smile. "Good morning. I didn't want to wake you." I walked over and wrapped my arms around him from behind, resting my head on his shoulder. "I appreciate that. What's on your mind?" He sighed, his hand gently stroking mine. "Just thinking about last night. My father... he's pushing Cassandra so hard. It's frustrating." I nodded, understanding the weight of his words. "I know. But we'll get through this together." Raid turned to face me, his eyes filled with determination. "Yes, we will. No matter what." Just as we were about to kiss, a knock on the door interrupted us. Raid frowned, reluctantly standing up to answer it. A maid stood there, looking slightly uncomfortable. "Mr. Elargo, your father requests your presence in the study. And Miss Cassandra has arrived," she said, her eyes flickering to me for a moment. Raid sighed again, running a hand through his hair. "Of course. Tell them I'll be there shortly." The maid nodded and left, closing the door softly behind her. Raid turned back to me, his expression apologetic. "I'm sorry about this." I shook my head, forcing a smile. "It's okay. Let's just get through today." Raid's Point of View I headed to the study with a sense of dread. My father’s machinations were always calculated, and I knew today's meeting would be no different. Cassandra was already there, seated gracefully on one of the plush armchairs. My father stood by the window, looking out over the estate with a pensive expression. "Ah, Raid," he said without turning around. "Good of you to join us." Cassandra looked up and smiled warmly. "Good morning, Raid." "Good morning, Cassandra," I replied, trying to keep my tone neutral. "Father, what is this about?" My father turned, his expression unreadable. "I thought it would be beneficial for you and Cassandra to spend some more time together. You have much to learn from each other." I clenched my jaw, but before I could respond, Cassandra stood up, her smile never wavering. "I'm looking forward to it. I think we can achieve a lot together." Her words, though polite, felt like a challenge. I nodded curtly. "Sure. Let's see how the day goes." We spent the next few hours touring the estate, my father's presence looming over us like a dark cloud. Cassandra was charming and insightful, her knowledge of various social issues impressive. But every time she smiled at me or touched my arm lightly, I felt a pang of guilt, thinking of Faisal back in my room. Faisal's Point of View I tried to keep myself busy, but the thought of Raid spending time with Cassandra gnawed at me. I wandered through the gardens, the vibrant flowers and perfectly trimmed hedges doing little to lift my spirits. As I rounded a corner, I saw Raid and Cassandra walking together, deep in conversation. They looked so... comfortable together. Cassandra laughed at something Raid said, her hand lightly brushing his arm. My heart sank, and I turned away, not wanting to see any more. "Faisal," a voice called from behind me. I turned to see Cassandra approaching, a too-bright smile on her face. "I was hoping to find you. Raid and I were just talking about some of the community projects we're planning. I'd love to get your input." I forced a smile, nodding. "Sure. I'd be happy to help." We joined Raid, and the three of us walked together, discussing various ideas. Cassandra was engaging, her passion for charity work evident. But every time she spoke to Raid, every time she laughed at his jokes, I felt a sharp sting of jealousy. As the day wore on, the tension between us grew. Cassandra seemed to sense my unease and subtly increased her efforts to include me, but it only made me feel more like an outsider. At one point, Raid excused himself to take a call, leaving Cassandra and me alone. She turned to me, her expression shifting slightly, a hint of smugness in her eyes. "You know, Faisal," she said, her tone deceptively sweet, "Raid and I have so much in common. It's a shame you can't be more involved in these discussions. But then again, not everyone is cut out for this world." I stiffened, her words stinging more than I cared to admit. "I do my best." She shrugged, a small, dismissive gesture. "Of course. But Raid needs someone who can stand by his side, who understands his world. You understand that, don't you?" Before I could respond, Raid returned, his face lighting up when he saw me. "Everything okay?" I nodded, forcing a smile. "Yes, everything's fine." The rest of the day passed more smoothly, but the undercurrent of jealousy and doubt remained. As evening fell, we returned to the main house, Cassandra excusing herself to leave for the night. Raid and I retired to our room, both of us exhausted from the day's events. We sat in silence for a while, the weight of the day's interactions hanging heavily between us. Finally, Raid spoke, his voice soft but firm. "Faisal, I know this is hard. But you have to believe me when I say that you're the only one I want. Cassandra is a wonderful person, but she doesn't hold my heart. You do." I looked into his eyes, seeing the sincerity there. "I believe you, Raid. It's just... hard. But I'll try." He pulled me close, holding me tightly. "That's all I ask. We'll get through this together." As we held each other, the doubts and fears seemed to fade away, replaced by the warmth of our love. The road ahead was uncertain, but as long as we had each other, I knew we could face any challenge that came our way.
